A clearer first step
Nutrition planning can become unnecessarily complicated. Macro Calculator keeps the first step simple: enter your details, choose whether you want to lose fat, maintain, or gain muscle, and review a transparent estimate for calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat.
The homepage is built around the calculator so visitors can act first and read the supporting explanation immediately below it. The goal is not to make one number feel perfect; it is to make the assumptions visible and the next decision easier.
How we approach estimates
The calculator uses the Mifflin–St Jeor equation for BMR, an activity multiplier for TDEE, moderate goal adjustments, and a protein-first macro split. It also includes a simple meal breakdown and training-day/rest-day planning view. The methodology section on the homepage explains the formulas and guardrails in plain language.
These are population-level estimates. Daily movement, body composition, sleep, stress, training, food tracking, medication, and health conditions can change what a person actually needs. Use the result as a hypothesis to test and adjust, not as a diagnosis or prescription.
Browser-first and practical
The calculation is designed to happen in your browser and does not require an account for normal use. We aim to keep the interface quick, readable, keyboard-friendly, and useful on a phone as well as a desktop screen.
Macro Calculator may evolve with additional languages, scenario pages, and supporting tools. Any future additions should keep the same core promise: explain the assumptions, avoid unnecessary friction, and help people make more informed planning decisions.
A note on professional guidance
This site is for general education. If you are pregnant, under 18, managing a medical condition, taking medication that affects nutrition, training for a demanding sport, or recovering from disordered eating, seek individual guidance from a qualified professional.
